Reports are reviewed, and material that is under our control and found to be infringing is removed or restricted. Notices that do not contain enough information may need to be followed up before they can be assessed.

Before you send a notice: include enough detail for us to identify both the work you own and the material you are reporting. Clear, complete notices are the quickest to review.

How to File a DMCA Complaint

To submit a valid copyright notice, provide the information described below.

2 Description of the Copyrighted Work

Identify the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
Describe the work clearly enough for us to understand the claim
Include registration or ownership details where you have them

3 Location of the Allegedly Infringing Material

Give the exact location, or a clear description of where the material appears
Include the relevant web address (URL) where one applies
Add any titles, names or other details that help us locate it

4 Required Legal Statements

A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent, or the law
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate
Confirmation that you are the rights owner, or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf
Any statement required by the law that applies to your claim, made in the form that law requires
Your physical or electronic signature

Review timing: complete notices are reviewed as promptly as reasonably possible. Notices that are missing information may take longer, because we may need to come back to you first.

False Claims Warning

Copyright law treats misrepresentation seriously. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation — either that material is infringing, or that it was removed or restricted by mistake — can expose the person making the claim to legal liability, including costs incurred by other parties.

Counter-Notification

If material was removed or restricted following a copyright complaint, and you believe that happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you may be able to send a counter-notification to the same contact address.

Counter-Notice Must Include

Your name, address, phone number and email address
Identification of the material that was removed or restricted
Where that material appeared before it was removed or restricted
A statement that you believe, in good faith, that this happened as a result of a mistake or misidentification
Any consent or legal statement required by the law that applies to your claim
